Greensboro Youth Soccer, home of the Greensboro Twisters and the Greensboro Soccer Club invite you to apply to the adidas Labor Day Shootout,  one of the south’s oldest and premier soccer events. This year's tournament will include some of the best competition in the country, contested at the site of the 2003 USYSA Region III Championships.  We look forward to hosting you in Greensboro!

The Greensboro Youth Soccer home venue for tournament matches is the renowned Bryan Park Soccer Complex . Bryan Park is undeniably one of the most beautiful soccer venues in the United States. This facility coupled with the other fine facilities in the area have made Greensboro earn its reputation as one of the premier soccer venues in the country.

We would like to provide you with some updated information on the Adidas Labor Day Shootout hosted by Greensboro Youth Soccer at Bryan Park on Aug 30-31.

The Adidas Labor Day Shootout is one of the most competitive events in the southeast and is held at the premier youth soccer facility  - Bryan Park. The event will attract elite teams from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

A college coaches tent is available throughout the event, with team and player materials and lunch will be provided for all coaches. ALL U15-U18 Games will be held at Bryan Park!

Some highlights of the teams attending the 2008 Adidas Labor Day Shootout:

·         4 Teams that were Regional Winners or Finalists

·         8 State Cup Winners from 2007/8

      13 State Cup Finalists from 2007/8

Accepted Teams Posted

The list of accepted teams is available in the documents section of this website. Brackets and schedules will be posted next week. Thanks.

Each team is guaranteed three matches, with the championship games being played on Sunday, August 31.  In order to provide the best playing facilities for this tournament, the tournament committee plans to limit the number of teams accepted.  The host site of the tournament is the beautiful Bryan Park Soccer Complex.  Additional sites in the area may be used.  Individual and team awards will be given to the champion and the finalist in each division.   

There will be Showcase Groups for U16-U18.  During the history of the event, the Labor Day Shootout has attracted some of the top college coaches to watch the talent on the field.  Coaches from across the southeast have been invited to attend this year's event.  The tournament committee will be putting together a "Profiles of Champions" book to give to the college coaches.  Additional information and profile sheets will be forthcoming in the acceptance packages about this book.

The tournament entry fee is $700 U15-U19 and $650 U11-U14 per team.  Online registration is available here:  APPLICATION.  The Application and Entry Fee must be postmarked by Friday, July 25th.  The fee must be included with your tournament application to be considered.  All checks will be cashed upon receipt.  Entry fee is non-refundable upon acceptance.  In the event that your team is not accepted, your entry fee will be refunded in full within 30 days to the primary contact.
